Conditions of Membership

Membership of the Gold Plating Guild (hereafter known as the Guild) is solely at the discretion of the Administration of the Guild and is final.

In order to become a member of the Guild applicants will be required to complete the online form - found here - and return the completed form by email to us here after which the applicant, if approved, will receive a PayPal payment request for the fee applicable at that time. Once payment has been received the now new member of the Guild will be contacted within 48 hours with confirmation of their membership along with their members logo for their own use, after which they will be contacted by the Guild for their details to apply all the other benefits that come with membership.

 

By applying for membership members are agreeing to follow and abide by the following rules: 

  1. Members agree to authorising the Guild to display on the Guild website that members full contact details - as provided in their Guild application form - and that the Guild are not responsible in any way for anything negative resulting from that information being made public on the Guild website

  2. Members must be courteous to all other members of the Guild as well as to their customers and clients to maintain membership of the Guild

  3. Members must not imply that they area part of the Guild other than as a member, nor must they bring the name of the Guild into disrepute

  4. Members may not use any data from the Guild for any purpose other than to contact other members for mutual benefit. They also must not act in anyway that causes harm or damage to the Guild in any way, deliberate or otherwise

  5. Members are responsible for ensuring that any fees due to the Guild for Membership are up to date or they may be suspended and have their membership removed

  6. The Guild cannot be held legally or financially responsible for any actions taken by other guild members or any other parties other than the Guild itself

Complaints

In the event of any complaints received to the Guild from any other party, the Guild reserves right to speak to the complainant for more information regarding that complaint. If a complaint is received the Guild will notify the member within 24 hours and notify the member the whole nature of that complaint, who will then have the opportunity to resolve that complaint directly with the complainant. If the complainant thereafter contacts the Guild again and is still dissatisfied the Guild will have one more conversation with both parties and if their is still no resolution to that complaint the Guild reserves the right to make a decision on the continuation of the members membership. Any such decision will be final and if the decision is to remove the members membership then they will refund any portion of the fees paid by that member from the first day of the month after that decision was made up until the end of the paid for period. In the event that action is taken the 'member' will no longer to be allowed to claim to be a member of the Guild, or use the Guild logo. Anyone doing so could have legal action taken against them without any prior notice.
